Hambly + Punky Sprouts= a great combination

A few weeks ago I went to Hambly to pick up some overlays and rub-on's for my team.
Angel Bartonico (I heard her mom is pretty cool! LOL) created this project using the new Spunky Sprouts album.
She wanted to use her favorite color combinations and it came out really funky cool!
The yellow frame was from a pack of frames at the dollar spot at Target.
Notice the rub-on's that she added to the frame. Hambly's rub-on's come off like butter!

Thanks for looking!!

Meet Guest designer, Gloria Stengel

I'm happy to introduce you to Gloria Stengel. She is on the Graphic 45 design team and had the opportunity to create with one of Punky Sprouts albums, Rebel Sprout
I asked her a couple of questions about working with our products and here is what she said.

1. Was this your first punky album that you played with?
Yes! And my first time playing with canvas pages.
2. What was your favorite part of designing with the album?
The "odd" sizes and different textures of the pages. It was fun to be able to use both large and small pages within the same album. I also love being able to see things peeking out from behind the pages.
3. Will you be making another one? If so, which album catches your eye?
I'd love to work with the NEW Junk in My Punk album. I love the size of that one. Or the Alfalfa Sprout, that one looks fabbie, too.
4. Is this project for you or is a gift? It's for myself.
I normally give my mini albums away, but this time I made it just for myself.
5. Tell me a little bit about yourself.
Let's just say, I'm a mature crafter, and leave it at that! I've been paper crafting most of my life, but found rubber stamping in 1990 (before I had kids) and modern scrapbooking in 1996. I love everything about paper! From the smell to the texture to the colors. I've been married to Matthew, who supports my addiction to paper, for almost 23 years. We have three children (Nathan age 18, Laura age 14, and Jonah age 10). I've homeschooled for the past 12 years and graduated Nathan in 2009. One down, two to go! I'm on several design teams, including Graphic45, which is a huge thrill. I enjoy creating in my studio and "making stuff." I hope to be able to enjoy this hobby well into my "golden years." I certainly have enough paper to last that long!

Thank you Gloria for sharing your beautiful project with us!!

We would love to feature your Punky Sprouts project here. Email me at psajfamily@aol.com

We have a lot going on at the Punky Sprouts warehouse!!! Lots of products have been going out the door so check your local scrapbook stores!!!! If they don't have them, send them our way!!! We'll hook them up! :)

Have a wonderful week!

projects and a class!!

It's been a busy week at Punky!!! Shelly's been busy with production and I've been busy creating and getting things ready for a lot of my classes!!!

On Sunday, August 29th I will be teaching a really fun class at
Scrapbook Depot in San Carlos, Ca
I'm ESPECIALLY excited because I'll have my good friend and Cannon rep, Gina Lideros there with me. Why?
I'll be teaching this lovely book using my newest design, Spunky Sprouts with brand new Echo Park papers and embellishments and Gina will be there with all the Cannon printers so those taking the class can print all their pictures FOR FREE!! After they are done printing their pictures, they can put them in their book they created! Cool huh!!
So if you are in the area, call to sign up!!!

Here's another project I made using the Spunky Sprout album!!!!
I love how this project came out. When I was at CHA, I was visiting with my girlfriend, Margie who is the designer for Girls Paperie line. She was such a sweetheart and SPOILED me rotten with her products!!! I created this project with it.
(I printed all these fun different size pictures with a cool Cannon printer)

While at CHA, I was thinking I needed a couple more projects using our Alfalfa books and Sarah volunteered to create one!!!! She's so awesome!!!
We are so happy to have her on the team!
To see where else I'm going to be this year, go to MY BLOG
Have a fabulous rest of the week!!

Something's blooming here!!!

At CHA we introduced our Lil' Blooms!!! It's a canvas diecut already for you to create your flowers!! We are so excited you fell in love with them as much as we do!!
For those of you that didn't get to see them let me show you how fun and easy.
You can paint, sprits, stamp, color, etc.
All you do is take the end piece and start rolling it.
Keep rolling it until you get to the center.
Once you get to the center add a glue dot to the bottom.
I used glimmer mist to add color to this little cutie.
Added a pearl and a piece of paper for a leaf and
there you have it...a flower!!
Here's another thing I did. I glimmer misted again.
I took one of my Hero Arts stamps and stamped all around the flower
It looked like this when I was done.
I then rolled it...added a button...and a leaf and there you go!
Another really cute flower!!
What do you think of our little flowers? Look out for these at your LSS!! If they don't have them, send them our way!! :)

The gals that made our show a huge success!!!
Being crazy at the booth! LOL
We are excited to announce that we have added
three gals to our ever growing team!!!

PLEASE MEET...

Hey everyone, it's me Angel! So here's a little scoop about me...I am a mommy to 2 absolutely adorable boys Tanner (4) and Tristan (almost 2) and happily married to the love of my life and best friend Christian! We do have 2 fur babies too, Sassy my Shih Tzu and our newest addition Bentley our adorbale Golden Doodle! You would think we had our hands full just with all our babies alone but no...theres more! LOL! I am currently enrolled at the Academy of Arts in San Francisco majoring in Fashion Design and the hubby and I both have jobs! In my spare time (because I know you can tell I have so much of it!) I am a huge fan of just hanging around with the family and friends, shopping, and of course scrapping! Scrapping is a huge outlet for me to just relax after a long day! I never thought my work would be anything big especially because my mom is the one and only Suzy West...but I have been fortunate enough to have my work published in magazines and shown on shows such as DIY, Scrapbook Memories TV, QVC, and at CHA. I'm sooo excited to be joining the Punky Sprout team and work with such amazing and talented girls! Come check me out on my
to see some of my work and whats going on in my crazy but awesome life!! Just a warning, It's a brand new blog so there's not too much to it YET. LOL

Hi everyone! Sarah, here. Here's a little bit about me: Scrapbooking has always been a part of my life, but it has recently become an outlet for me. When I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder, I needed something to calm my state of mind. Scrapbooking became my cure and my therapy, and it helped me get through the rough times. Never in my wildest imaginations did I think that I would be able to use this outlet to create with such amazing design teams, see my work in printed publications, or be teaching at a handful of local scrapbook stores. Seriously, it’s been an amazing adventure. Aside from scapbooking and dabbling in the craft industry, I love traveling and visiting new places, playing at the beach, and spending time with my family and friends. I am truly honored to be designing for Punky Sprouts, and I can't wait to share my work in these fun and creative books!
Find me and my work over at my blog

Tricia Wilson lives in California with her husband and 2 children. She’s been interested in crafts in some form or another all of her life, but about 3 years ago scrapbooking became her passion. She loves creating art while preserving family memories all while getting to use patterned paper, yummy embellishments and other inspiring products. Her work has been published in Creating Keepsakes, BHG Scrapbook’s Etc., Memory Maker’s and Scrapbook Trends magazines.
She also enjoys dabbling in many other creative mediums like sewing, soldering, mixed media collage, jewelry making, knitting and embroidery. She also enjoys photography, shopping at flea markets and thrift stores for little treasures, reading and gardening.
This is a project that I created with my new book, Junk In My Punk with the For the Luv Of Art August Kit! This kit is filled with lots of yummy goodies!!!
Love the stamp that Norma Kennedy created!! It made an awesome background on my canvas page.
I covered the tags with pictures

I created several pockets on the back page. I had journaling on the top two tags.
I put a lot of pictures from CHA in the pockets.
Thanks for looking!! Check back to see more!!!
We have a lot more exciting things happening!
Hugs,
Suzy West
